Studio Classes
Smaller Class Sizes
Connecting with others makes our community so special and we know it's one of the big reasons you've decided to join our classes. We also know infants, toddlers, and young children are hard-wired to explore, engage, and connect with their environments. In an effort to provide comfortable spacing for all families in class, our class sizes for Foundations-Level 2 have been reduced by 20% (maximum of 10 children) and Levels 3-5 have a maximum of 8 children in each class.
Masks
At this time masks are optional for adults and children.
Vaccinations
All educators are fully vaccinated.
Air Purifiers
Both classrooms have new, oscillating air purifiers.
Sanitation
Each classroom will be equipped with a sanitation station to include hand sanitizer, tissues, sanitary wipes, gloves, paper towels, and a used instrument bin (for instruments that might become extra soiled and need to be replaced during an activity). As always, your educators will sanitize every instrument used in class. Additionally, all common surfaces will be cleaned. We're developing comprehensive sanitation schedules with our locations.
Food Allergies
Due to known food allergies within the studio, we ask that all snacks be finished prior to entering the classroom. Water, forumla, and nursing are always welcome.
Register Early:
Priority Registration will be given to existing (in-studio) families first. Classes are filled on a first come, first served basis w/online registration. Although you may join our classes online at any time, we encourage you to register early since class size is limited and may fill quickly. A minimum of four students is needed or the class will be cancelled. We make every effort to find an alternative class time that will work for your family.
Billing:
Your monthly fee includes tuition plus required digital materials from Kindermusik International. Total class cost is divided into eight equal payments and will be charged the beginning of the month. For the academic year, the payments are divided into 8 equal payments, with the final auto charge on April 1st. Though payments occur monthly, they do not reflect a certain number of classes/month. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express. A separate registration fee reserves a place for your child in the class of your choice, and is non-refundable. The registration fee is to be paid when registration is submitted. Late payments (if not received by 10th of month) incur a $20/month late fee. Any return checks are charged $35.
Discounts:
If enrolling siblings in the SAME CLASS, a $10 sibling discount will be applied to your account by our administrative team. This discount applies to Digital Home materials only and excludes the physical materials for Musicians classes.
Class Withdrawal:
Your spot is always saved for you while enrolled, but if you need to discontinue your enrollment at any time, just let us know in writing (email or text) at least a week before the 1st of the new month to avoid incurring charges for the new month. If you decide to re-enroll at a later time during the session, a $15 re-enrollment fee will be applied to your account.
Non-Discrimination:
Overton Music Studios will not discriminate based on race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, political affiliation or opinions, ability level, nation of origin, age, or any other reason. Our classrooms are safe, welcoming spaces for all people, and we believe all families should be treated with respect and dignity while enjoying the benefits of music education.
Illness Guidelines:
According to Kindermusik International guidelines, each adult and child must apply hand sanitizer before class. Please do not come to class if your child has had fever/loose stools in the last 24 hours or has a contagious cough. A good guideline to follow is to be fever free for 24 hours, and for a nose not to be running with anything other than clear. It is VERY common for babies and toddlers to have runny noses due to teething and it is very hard to distinguish that from being sick. If you at all feel that your little one is under the weather, please remain home and take advantage of our unlimited make-up options. Each class has a "sanitation station" and instruments will be sanitized by your educator between each class.
Cell Phone Usage:
We kindly request our parent/caregivers to turn cell phones to vibrate or off during class and if an emergency call needs to taken, it can be done outside the classroom so as to not disturb the class. Thank you!
Policy on Non-enrolled Siblings:
Due to limited class size and the goal of one-on-one parent/child interaction, we ask that those enrolled in Foundations, Level 1, and Level 2 classes make arrangements for siblings during weekly class times. An exception can be made when the sibling is young enough to be content in a carrier during the 45 minute class. In cases where an older sibling needs to come to a particular class, (school holidays, etc.), the older sibling may be invited to participate by the educator. However, the older sibling wishes not to join in the class activities, we ask they quietly observe in the back of the classroom.
Make-up classes:
Requests for make-ups, of the same level, can be completed through the Parent Portal or with assistance from our Studio Care Concierge, Marie Rogers (overtonmusicstudios2@gmail.com).
Make-ups are unlimited while enrolled. The option for unlimited make-up classes expires when a student's enrollment is changed to unenrolled. Make-up classes can be spread out throughout a season while enrolled, however they cannot be rolled over to a new program season (ex. Make-up classes from February cannot be completed during summer camps).
Enrollment conditions:
With your enrollment in class(es), you agree to the following: With this enrollment, I release any and all rights and claims for damages against Overton Music Studios and its Staff in the unlikely event of injury sustained by myself or my child(ren) during the course of or as a result of this musical activity. This enrollment also includes permission for use of photographs of classes for studio advertising and receiving E-news from the studio and Kindermusik International.
Snow Day/Winter Weather Policy:
We observe Omaha Public Schools winter weather closings. All weather-related, in-person cancellations will move to our live, virtual Zoom classrooms at your regular class time.
Note: Due to the nature of our program, we will NOT delay our classes when OPS calls for a delayed start. Delayed start days will count as a full snow day and the classes will move to Zoom.
Also, pay particular attention to the "after school" cancellations, as they will affect our late afternoon, evening, and Saturday classes.
Refund Policy:
The Registration Fee is non-refundable and covers administrative and materials costs associated with enrolling. Tuition is non-refundable, unless a class is discontinued at the discretion of the studio owner. Refunds for missed classes are not available. Tuition for missed classes cannot be rolled into the next month or another program (ex. February tuition cannot be held and rolled into the summer camp program).
